The Brief

Our client came to us with the desire to complete a number of upgrades to a city apartment they had owned for a number of years. The existing kitchen was impractical and very tired. The carpet needed updating and the walls were in need of a paint.

The EB Studio team got to work to redesign the kitchen into a much more functional layout and also removed a small non load bearing wall to allow the kitchen to open up beautifully into the living and dining space.

We opted for a striking charcoal cabinet colour with fluted glass inserts for the upper cabinetry. Instead of working with a regular rangehood we chose to really make a feature of the centre of the kitchen with a cylindrical shaped rangehood and the most incredible metal kit kat tiles as a feature splashback.

In addition to the kitchen renovation, we selected stylish chevron flooring that works so well against the kitchen cabinetry and crisp white walls. We flipped the layout of the room so that the dining table was closer to the kitchen which allowed us to add some wainscotting to the TV wall and hang a floating TV unit across the centre of the room.

Our client is over the moon with the finished result and is enjoying spending time cooking in the new kitchen!

Scope of works:

  • Kitchen Design
  • Floorboard Selection
  • Paint Selections
  • Full furniture fit out
